# Citizenly > Citizenly is a civic technology platform that helps NYC advocacy organizers run verified constituent email campaigns to elected officials. Built by OverQuo LLC, a New York LLC. ## What Citizenly does Citizenly turns a policy issue into a full email campaign with a single shareable URL. Each supporter enters their NYC address, the platform automatically routes them to every correct representative for that address, and the supporter sends an individually authored, verified message. Not a mass petition. Not a form letter blast. Each email arrives in the official's inbox from the constituent's own address, with a reply-to they can use. ## Who it serves - **Organizers**: Nonprofits, tenant groups, community organizations, and advocacy groups in New York City who want to mobilize constituents around a specific issue. - **Citizens**: NYC residents across all five boroughs who want their message to reach the right officials for their address. ## Geographic scope New York City: all five boroughs (Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens, The Bronx, Staten Island). ## Officials covered Citizenly routes to eight categories of NYC and New York State officials: - NYC City Council members (51 districts, routed by home address) - NYC Borough Presidents (5 offices: Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens, The Bronx, Staten Island) - NYC Community Boards (59 boards across all five boroughs) - New York State Assembly members (63 NYC-area districts) - New York State Senate members (26 NYC-area districts) - Governor of New York (statewide, covers all NYC residents) - NYC City Council Committee Chairs (Pro tier, routed by issue area) - NYS Senate Committee Chairs (Pro tier, routed by issue area) Each constituent is routed only to officials who represent their specific address. No zip code approximation: Citizenly uses official NYC district boundary data (polygon intersection) for accurate routing. ## Pricing - Free tier: one active campaign, automatic address routing, real-time submission stats, email verification. - Organizer Pro: $29/month with a 30-day free trial. Includes unlimited active campaigns, committee chair targeting, CSV export of verified constituent contacts, and priority support. ## Key features - Address-based automatic routing to the correct representative for every body simultaneously - Point-in-polygon district matching using official NYC boundary data (not zip codes) - Individual message authorship: each constituent writes and sends their own email - Email address verification before any message is sent - Permanent public audit receipt for every delivered message - Real-time campaign dashboard with per-official submission counts - CSV export of verified constituent contacts (name, email, district, officials reached) - Sandbox mode for testing campaigns before launch - Committee chair targeting for issue-specific campaigns (Pro) - Multi-body campaigns: one campaign can target City Council, Borough Presidents, Community Boards, Assembly, Senate, and the Governor simultaneously ## Comparison to other tools Citizenly is the only advocacy campaign tool that covers NYC Community Boards and NYC Borough Presidents. Resistbot covers federal and state officials but uses zip code routing and does not cover NYC City Council or Community Boards. Change.org collects petition signatures from anyone globally and does not verify constituent addresses. Democracy.io covers US Congress only. ## What Citizenly is not - Not a lobbying firm or political consulting service - Does not support electoral advocacy (candidate support or opposition is prohibited by Terms of Service) - Does not cover US Congress or federal officials (Resistbot or Democracy.io serve that need) - Does not guarantee official response or message receipt - Does not serve addresses outside New York City ## Guides and comparisons - Best tools to contact NYC elected officials: https://www.citizenly.nyc/guides/contact-nyc-officials - How to contact your NYC City Council member: https://www.citizenly.nyc/guides/contact-nyc-city-council - How to contact NYC City Council committee chairs: https://www.citizenly.nyc/guides/contact-nyc-council-committees - How to contact NYS Senate committee chairs: https://www.citizenly.nyc/guides/contact-nys-senate-committees - Citizenly vs Change.org: https://www.citizenly.nyc/vs/change-org - Citizenly vs Resistbot: https://www.citizenly.nyc/vs/resistbot - Citizenly vs Action Network: https://www.citizenly.nyc/vs/action-network ## Company OverQuo LLC: New York limited liability company Contact: advocate@citizenly.nyc Legal: legal@citizenly.nyc Website: https://www.citizenly.nyc ## Legal - Privacy Policy: https://www.citizenly.nyc/privacy - Terms of Service: https://www.citizenly.nyc/terms - Disclaimer: https://www.citizenly.nyc/disclaimer
